    This is a fairly new attraction near Magna. It is also popular with families as it is a similar hands-on science attraction. It is 20 minutes from the flat.

  • Meadowhall

    Meadowhall is one of the country's largest indoor shopping centres with over 200 stores, a cinema,restaurants and other attractions. It is around 15 minutes from the flat

  • National Museum of Film and Photography

    This museum in Bradford (around 30 minutes from the flat) is very good containing many interesting exhibits and also an IMAX cinema.

  • Yorkshire Sculpture Park

    The sculpture Park is just a 5 minute walk from the flat. The park has recently got a new entrance and visitor centre which connects the Sculpture Park and Bretton Country Park. There is also Bretton Hall College (part of Leeds University in the park)

  • National Coal Mining Museum

    The Coal Mining Museum has recently been refurbished. It is 10 minutes from the flat. It is a great place to visit with children.

  • Magna

    Built as a Millenium Project, Magna is a hands-on science museum built inside an old steel works and is a very popular attraction. It is around 20 minutes by car and superb for young children

  • Harewood House

    Regal 18th century house built by John Carr with Woodland Garden, Bird Garden, Penguin Pond and Paradise Garden with Tropical wildlife. In Leeds it is around a 40 minute drive from the flat.

  • Cannon Hall

    This is a Georgian country house with Jacobean and Victorian interiors which also includes a Regimental museum. It is 10 minutes from the flat.

  • Nostell Priory

    Nostell Priory is a pleasant National Trust Property to the East of Wakefield. There are also lots of lakeside walks and many rose gardens.
