    York is around 35 minutes from West Bretton using the A1(M). In the beautiful historic city with its famous cathedral and city walls are also many shops and attractions such as York Dungeon (Webpage) and the Jorvik Viking Museum (Webpage).

    This is a highly entertaining medical museum next to St James Hospital in Leeds (around 30 minutes from the flat). It looks at medicine through the ages with lots of hands-on activities.

    This picturesque town is just 20 minutes from the house and well worth a visit. It is best known for being the home of BBC's comedy series Last of the Summer Wine.

  • Xscape Castleford Snowdome

    The Snowdome is located next to Freeport, a cheap designer clothes outlet at junction 32 of the M62, (Webpage). It is an indoor skiing dome with other activities. It is due to open sometime in 2003. Also around 20 minutes from the house is Sheffield Ski Village a dry ski slope.
